The Trinity Academy Aftercare Program run by Mrs. Lentini celebrated "Tropical Island Thursday" on a recent early dismissal day. The children had a picnic and played games with a tropical island theme.
Music Instructor Paul Haase and the instrumental music students of Trinity Academy held a music recital last week. Under the direction of Art Teacher Carol Crump, Trinity students displayed a variety of artwork inspired by the human form.
On Monday May 7th, the sixth and seventh grades of Trinity Academy traveled to the Stella Marist Retreat House in Elberon, NJ. The students’ knowledge of water was reinforced by the staff with a spiritual connection. The day involved recognizing the importance of the conserving water, ocean pollution and clean waters impact on the environment. The students cleaned up the beach area of the Retreat House and participated in a closing “sea related” prayer service. A fun, educational and spiritual experience was had by all.
The Trinity Academy Choir is performing at the Archdiocesan Youth Retreat Center
Kearny, NJ today as part of the iSing Choir Festival. ISing is a Choral Festival that brings grammar and high school choirs and chorus’s from the Archdiocese of Newark into a performance/ competition setting. The choir is under the direction of Mrs. Spiegel and Mrs. VandeBeek.
The third grade did a beautiful job this morning leading the school at the May First Friday Mass.
The 6th Grade Social Studies curriculum focuses on Ancient Civilizations and Cultures. Each student was asked to create a Medieval Castle, dress in medieval customs, and write a report on the culture and customs of that time period. The students then gave "tours" of their castles to the class. The castles are all creative and extremely well done! Great job 6th Grade!
Students from Trinity Academy were honored to take part in the annual raising of the American and Hawaiian flags at a ceremony at the Grover Cleveland Birthplace recently. They joined visitors from Hawaii who visit Caldwell each year to honor President Grover Cleveland and his opposition to the annexation of Hawaii.
After learning about Japan in their Social Studies unit, the second grade finished with a Japanese Festival where they made sushi and Japanese crafts.
